The Hair & Beauty Co team is experienced and dynamic, consisting of world class industry experts in the fields of education / technical support, business development, salon growth and customer service.

The Team:

Phil Taylor

– Managing Director 

Phil’s been in the hair and beauty industry for 23 years. Originally as a hairdresser before moving in to brand management and business development, which in various roles has taken him across Australia/NZ, America, Europe, the UK and Asia. Phil started Hair & Beauty Collective in 2017 as destination for SA & NT salons to access world leading brands and education, in addition to collaborating with each other and fostering a true local community. 

Kim Collins

– Business Development Manager

Kim has been a well-known figure in the Adelaide hairdressing community for 26 years. After 16 years on the salon floor, Kim moved into sales and business development where she has thrived helping her clients reach their full potential. Kim is recognised for her warmth, approachability and dynamic thinking, allowing her to always be ‘adding value’ to her partner salons.

Chloe Hegan

– Business Development Manager 

When not practising yoga or cooking up a storm, you’ll find Chloe talking hair. Chloe joined the HBC team late in 2021 having previously held education and BDM roles across Australia and New Zealand.

I believe in truly understanding each aspect of your business in order to assist you making the day to day easy, effortless and profitable and enjoyable”.

Amanda Browning

– SA Regional Business Development Manager

Amanda has been in the Hairdressing industry for 30yrs and brings a vast skill set and expertise to her role. 

From lecturing at TAFE across three campuses, with the inclusion judging at many South Australian hair competitions to owning and running a highly successful salon of her own.

Amanda’s passionate about sustainability and the use of more natural, organic / vegan products and the many benefits that brings.

Nicole Abela

– SA / NT Education Manager & Facilitator

Nicole began her illustrious career in Adelaide mentored by the talented Damien Rinaldo (3 x Australian Hairdresser of the Year) for 6 years before opening her own salon. Nicole has worked in the industry as a professional hairdresser for over 15 years and has also been working as a makeup artist for the past 7 years.

 

Nicole’s won many awards throughout her journey in the industry including the title of ‘South Australian Hairdresser of the Year’. She was a member of the Australian F.A.M.E team where she educated on the world stage in London. During that time, her passion for education grew, leading her to into roles with some of the industry’s biggest brands, working throughout Australia, New Zealand & Asia in addition to gigs at New York fashion weeks. Nicole again calls Adelaide home and joins the HBC team in 2020!

Katie Kromwijk

– Technical support / Education

Katie has been in the industry for 26 years and over the journey has done it all from lead colour technician with salon groups such as Toni & Guy, platform education work for some of the industry’s biggest brands and years spent in the field as a technical educator and BDM. When not supporting the HBC network of salons part-time, you will find her running her own salon in Adelaide which she launched with partner Matt in 2012 (known for their highly creative colour work).

Katie has a passion for mentoring next generation hairdressers and salon owners and possesses an incredible technical understanding of colour and how the bend the rules!

Simone Wiseman

– Operations & Administration

Simone is our guru behind the scenes, working from the HBC head office, Simone plays a critical role in the operation of Hair And Beauty Co, supporting our partners salons and our internal sales and education teams in addition to assisting in the operational management of our warehouse and inventory. Simone is also involved in the planning and coordination of our many events. Like everyone within our team, Simone is a hairdresser first and foremost and has dedicated much of her life to working across various fields within our industry.
